Pistols used to kill an Indian mobster in Phuket, owned by a retired police officer and one soldier

Phuket police said this afternoon that the weapons used to kill an Indian man of Canadian nationality in Phuket last week belonged to a retired police officer and a soldier.

The weapons were found 20 meters from the beach and 150 meters from the crime scene. An investigation is currently underway to determine whether the police officer and soldier may have anything to do with the attack.

The murder of Jimi Singh Sandhu in Rawai was carried out last Friday by two men who have since fled Thailand and are reported to be back in Canada

The latest developments revealed that the two killers flew from Phuket International Airport to Bangkok where they arrived separately two days after the shooting.

They then boarded separate flights to Canada via Europe, it was previously reported.

One of the men was seen on CCTV footage while peacefully strolling through Phuket airport, wearing a blue jacket, dark shorts, white sneakers and socks, a face mask and a large black shoulder bag. According to the Thairath editors, the man looked like a sporty type.

Chalong police are busy gathering evidence for warrants to be sent to Interpol and Canadian police over the next two days to try and arrest the killers and return them to Thailand.
