Drivers are now warned that Pattaya police are back to blocking the streets with checkpoints intended to cut down on Thailand’s traditionally heinous  Songkran Road death toll.

Police captain Dutsadee Janpitak along with 10 police officers let Road stop on Soi Chalermprakiat near Third Road and had found many drivers ignoring traffic laws.

As we all know for nearly a year, traffic stops have been a bit lax, so drivers have started leaving motorcycle helmets at home driving without licenses, and not paying for insurance or vehicle Tax

These checkpoints are currently running during the mornings and late evenings. The checkpoints after dark are aimed at finding drunk drivers.
