Russian Black Sea Fleet headquarters hit by Ukrainian drone
The headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol in Crimea was attacked this morning by a drone. The drone is almost certainly from Ukraine. There have been no casualties.
At the time of the raid, the governor of Sevastopol was present at the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea. “I’m at fleet headquarters. A drone came through the roof. Unfortunately, it was not shot down, although it was tried with light weapons. There are no casualties.” According to the governor, the police have closed the access roads to the headquarters and the emergency services are on the spot.

Several images of the attack are circulating on social media. There are videos of the attack, the shots and the large plume of smoke coming from the Black Sea fleet.
Ukraine has been focusing its forces on Crimea for some time now. This is not said openly, but Zelensky said in a press conference that “Crimea is Ukrainian and they will never give up” . On July 31, a drone also landed in the garden of the headquarters. Both drone strikes are believed to have originated from Ukraine.
On August 9, Ukraine destroyed nine planes at a Russian military base in Crimea and a Russian ammunition depot also exploded on Tuesday. Yesterday, according to local authorities, Ukrainian drones were also shot down near the Russian military base and near Kerch, where the Russian army has its rail and road links.
