Sergey Spegalsky was found hanged near the resort area of Pattaya in Thailand, police are investigating
The body of a 31-year-old Russian citizen was discovered by locals on November 10, around 3 p.m., in the forest near Route 331 (Sattahip-Nakhonratchasima) in Chonburi province. Rescuers and police arrived at the scene and found the man dead.
Sergei’s body was about 50 meters from the road, he was wearing a green shirt and black pants, the preliminary examination showed that the man had been dead for at least 8 hours.
A red Honda Click motorcycle, registration number 1 Kor 524, Chonburi, was found about 20 yards from the body. Nearby lay three blue towels and clothing folded together. Police preserved them as physical evidence.
An employee at a nearby noodle shop told police that the Russian had been in her establishment the day before. On November 9 in the evening he came in for a bite to eat, and the woman noticed that the guy was behaving strangely, with crazy eyes “like a paranoid person”. When word got out about the scary find in the woods, she immediately identified him as yesterday’s strange visitor.
The police also found that the motorcycle Honda Click, found at the scene of the death of the Russian, was rented by him in Pattaya. Sergei rode it for 26 kilometers from the city and probably committed suicide.
Currently, the body of Russian citizen Sergei Spegalsky was sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy to confirm the true cause of death. The police informed the Russian embassy in Thailand to contact the relatives of the deceased.
