As of yesterday, restaurant guests in Bangkok and many other provinces can sit back for an extra two hours to enjoy a glass of wine or what they said after authorities relaxed the Covid19 restrictions.
The Committee on Communicable Diseases approved the extension of the drinking time from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. in restaurants that meet the SHA+ or TSC2+ criteria.
The move is boosting the tourism industry, which expects the number of foreign arrivals to increase from February 1 when the quarantine-free Test & Go scheme resumes.
Unfortunately, entertainment venues such as bars, pubs and nightclubs will remain closed under the current Covid19 measures.
