A strong storm collapsed the home of a large reclining Buddha statue at Wat Khao Angkarn in Chalerm Prakiat district.

The domed building was constructed in 2019 with donations worth nearly 5 million baht. The shelter was also a site for religious activities and ceremonies. No one was there when it collapsed.

Elsewhere, in Phetchabun province, the storm damaged 14 homes, injuring two people. The local government is making an inventory of the damage and would offer help to the victims.
