Suvarnabhumi Airport, just below Bangkok’s smoke, saw just over 7,000 arrivals land on 110 flights this Monday morning.

All travellers were rigorously screened at the airport, with a temperature check as the first step. Disease control checkpoint staff were also on hand to escort passengers with body temperatures above 37.3 degrees to the hospital or isolation facilities.

Passengers with normal temperatures were allowed to proceed to the immigration service, after which they could pick up their luggage from the baggage claim and then make their way to their accommodation.
