Thai-German flight passenger taken away from Phuket airport after allegedly threatening to bomb airline while waiting for boarding

On November the 16th a Thai-German man was taken away from Phuket International Airport while he threatened to bomb the airline as he was waiting to board

The man who is just 26 years old has been named as “Mike” had been at the gate while his flight ticket was being checked by a VietJet airline employee at around 12:00 midday when he was heard saying a forbidden word involving explosives to the employee.

The man was waiting to board a plane to Bangkok.

The man was then taken to the airport police after the employee had alerted a senior flight attendant.

Mike allegedly admitted that he did such an action because he was angry at the airline as he had been waiting for a long time to get on board at the gate. He was taken to Sakhu Police Station for further legal proceedings.

Initially, he was charged for notifying or sending messages that one knows are false likely to cause public panic under the Air Navigation Act, B.E. 2558 under Section 22.
