Thai man drugs tourists in Bangkok and undresses them to the bone
Bangkok police have arrested a 29-year-old man who met gay foreigners through dating apps, checked the quality of the mattress with them in the hotel room and then robbed them.
According to the head of the immigration office, Lieutenant General Sompong Chingduang, several foreigners had reported to the police that they had been approached by a Thai man and given them a pseudonym via gay dating chat apps, such as Grindr, Blued, Romeo, Aloha. and Homet had met.
After hours in a hotel room where the man drugged some of his wealthy lovers, he stole money and valuables. The Thai man likewise tricked foreigners into revealing the passwords for the online banking apps they used. Later he transferred money to his bank accounts.
Investigations discovered that the suspected man lived in a room in a residential complex in Chong Nonsi district. He was arrested and ten bank accounts and debit cards were confiscated from his apartment. During questioning, the man admitted to practising such practices on foreigners for over a year and having amassed (nicked) over a million baht.
