Thai man steals tip jar from café run by disabled people

A Thai man stole the tip jar from a cafe run by disabled people. The Bangkokians believe that this man must have a twist in his brain to be able to do what he did.

The well-dressed man walked into the cafe and ordered a cup of coffee. The cafe is called “Yimsoo” cafe and is located at the SAB intersection in Bangkok. The security camera filmed the man during his reprehensible action. The man was wearing a mask when he entered the coffee shop, then he sat inside to wait for the coffee. When the employee looked away inside, the man quickly grabbed the tip jar and put it in a large plastic bag. The incident happened earlier this week on July 22, 2021, at 10:21 am.

The man had the bag that was used to steal the tip jar with him all along. It is not known whether the man planned to steal a tip jar at the start of the day. He then replaced the tip jar with another empty tip jar. Officials believe the thief had previously stolen a tip jar from another store. The cafe now realizes what has happened and is preparing to file a report with the police. Yimsoo Cafe is run by disabled people with 2 hard of hearing baristas. Other employees who help out in the coffee shop are also hard of hearing.

They all have a special interest in coffee and other drinks and dream of owning a small cafe with their own name. Yimsoo cafe is a training centre designed to help train disabled people.

The cafe helps people with dreams to pursue it with the right training and experience. The goal is ultimately to be part of disabled people who make their dreams come true. The Yimsoo cafe was founded by Professor Wiriya Namsiripongpan, a lecturer in the law faculty of Thammasat University. He also founded the Universal Foundation for Persons with Disabilities.
