A storm warning has been issued by the The Thai Meteorology Department (TMD) for the next couple of days. It was announced that March 21st and 22nd there will be significant summer storms across much of the Central, Eastern, and Northern parts of the country, including Bangkok and Pattaya.
This is due to the high-pressure and cold air that is coming from China that is likely to reach Thailand and the South China Sea.
The storms will most likely bring intense rain, hail, high winds and flooding leading many local jurisdictions and cities, including Pattaya, to prepare for the potential storms over the past day.
More information on the storms can be found at http://www.tmd.go.th or the weather forecast hotline at 1182, 24 hours a day, in English and Thai.
