Police appear to be on the hunt for illegal sex toys and sex pills across the country. On the same day the FDA issued a warning about sex pills illegally sold online, cops in Pattaya started busting street stalls that sell the products.

Yesterday at 6pm, police raided stores along South Pattaya road, following a “tip” regarding vendors illegally selling the contraband to tourists. We’re using quote marks around the word “tip” here as police (and everyone else) are aware that the stalls in question have always sold toys and/or what scientists refer to as “dick pills.”

They ultimately shut down two stores and brought owners Pratya Pornhamaprasit, 35, and Jiragareut Taychawanit, 47, in for questioning at Pattaya police station, reported Workpoint.

Currently, under Criminal Code Section 287, trade or distribution of “obscene materials or things” is punishable with up to three years in prison.

However, anyone familiar with how things work in Thailand is aware that just because something is “illegal” doesn’t mean it’s not sold — openly.
