Thai tourists from Ayutthaya claim that they were attacked at night by local teenagers on Jomtien Beach for no reason

A group of Thai teenagers from Ayutthaya reported to the Pattaya police yesterday claiming to have been attacked by a group of teenagers in Jomtien and warning them not to go to the police and then claiming that they were not afraid of the police.

A 16-year-old boy from Ayutthaya, whose name has been withheld because of his age, filed a report with Captain Sanan Kotanan at the Pattaya City Police Station on Soi 9.

The victim told Pattaya police that he, his sister and friends had been attacked by a group of local teenagers on Jomtien Beach. The victim claims the attack was complete without any reason. According to his statement, the group was spending a weekend vacation in the city.

His sister, whose name was also remembered because she was a minor, told Pattaya police that she, some friends and her brother were taking photos on Jomtien beach when five local teenagers who arrived in a pickup truck were driving and stopped by them. . She claimed they started attacking them for no reason, kicking her brother in the face and chasing them.

The victims also alleged that the suspects appeared to be threatening with firearms and warned them that they were not afraid of the police and that Jomtien Beach was “their beach”. The group of teenagers from out of town managed to run away and then decided to go to the police station.

Captain Sanan Kotanan told the local press that police would be viewing CCTV footage near the area of ​​the alleged attack but also warned that socializing on the beaches, especially in the middle of the night, is against the current Covid19 rules in Chonburi and that the beaches were only open for exercise.
