Thailand plans to streamline proof of vaccination by offering free e-vaccine passports to international travellers.

It has been decided to offer a digital version of the vaccine passport that is currently being issued for a fee of 50 baht, although the date when the e-passport will be available has yet to be determined. However, when the program is launched, the digital vaccine passport will be available through the Mor Prom mobile application.

The CCSA made the announcement, but also issued a warning at the same time, reminding travellers to pre-check the requirements for the country they plan to travel to and confirm that their destination will accept an electronic vaccine passport or require a physical copy. is.

The announcement stated that Thais could apply for a printed vaccine passport by registering through the mobile app and paying the 50 baht fee, but it did not say whether this option will be available to foreigners as well. They should make an appointment to collect the paper copy from the available locations.
