The clear cut in the Thai hotel world continues, hotels in Thailand are forced to close their doors
The devastating third wave of Covid19 leads to further hotel closures, with hotels in Thailand forced to close every day.
According to a survey by the hoteliers association of 272 companies, a further 2.2 per cent of hotels have finally closed.
According to the president of the hoteliers association, Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi, 20 per cent of hotels have such poor liquidity that they can only last for three months, and 23 per cent believe they will make it to the end of this month.
Currently, 40.1 per cent of hotels are open, 38.2 per cent offer only a few services and 21.7 per cent have finally closed. Just over half of the temporarily closed hotels hope to reopen in the fourth quarter.
