The Immigration Office in Soi 5 in Jomtien is quiet again after a tumultuous week

The Chonburi Immigration Police headquarters in Jomtien was almost abandoned on Friday, after a few overcrowded and sweaty days during which thousands of foreign visitors and expatriates arrived at the office in Soi 5 of Jomtien.

Immigration officials said the end of fingerprinting for guest workers from Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos had helped to reduce the crowds.

Although Christmas is not a public holiday in Thailand, please note that all visitors are reminded that all Immigration offices will be closed on Friday, December 31 and Monday, January 3, as well as weekends.
