The northern Chiang Mai also accepts foreign tourists in November

Chiang Mai has announced its willingness to welcome visitors to boost the city’s economy and will accept travellers to four provinces for Thai travellers from Oct. 1 and Nov. 1 for foreign tourists.

Khun Rattaphol Naradisorn, the deputy. Chiang Mai Governor revealed that Chiang Mai province is ready to receive many tourists, accommodations, tourist attractions and public health safety are all taken care of down to the last detail.

Chiang Mai’s Communicable Diseases Committee issued a notice on Sept. 1 saying that people coming from very restricted areas should not be tested for the Covid19 virus.

People who have recovered from the Covid19 virus for less than 3 months must present a medical certificate or have had an Antigen Test Kit (ATK) result from a medical institution at least 72 hours before arrival in Chiang Mai. Fully vaccinated tourists can skip the 14 days of quarantine.

After meeting with TAT, Chiang Mai has guidelines to open the area in 4 pilot districts first, namely Main District, Mae Rim District, Mae Taeng District, Doi Tao District.

Thai travellers will be allowed to enter all parts of the province from October 1. After ensuring health safety, the province will accept vaccinated foreign tourists in the pilot districts from November 1.
