The number of Covid19 infections in Chonburi fell to 57, the lowest in more than a month

The Chonburi Health Authority announced 57 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 this morning (May 12), the lowest number since April 9.

A total of 3,491 cases of Covid19 are currently known in Chonburi Province, with 1,430 patients still under medical care, and ten recorded deaths in Chonburi in the recent wave.

Yesterday a total of 2,051 people were now discharged from medical care and have fully recovered since the start of this current wave. 112 people were released yesterday.


Today’s new district-level cases read as follows:

Mueang Chonburi with 18, Si Racha 9, Banglamung (including Pattaya) 21, Sattahip 1, Ban Bueang 2 and Phan Thong 6.

The details of today’s cases were: 12 close contacts with relatives of previous patients and 6 employees at the station

Chonburi Public Health officials stated that nearly all new cases are caused by private gatherings, mostly small ones with 2-3 people outside the household drinking or eating together.

They continue to urge people not to participate in activities with anyone outside their own household at this time and to continue to work from home if possible and avoid public places.
