Yesterday, 19,983 new people tested positive (including 350 in prisons) and 138 deaths possibly related to Covid were reported.
They brought the total number of infections since the start of the pandemic last year to 756,505 of which 535,515 patients have recovered, and to 6,204 deaths (almost everyone had underlying conditions).
In the past 24 hours, 18,503 patients have recovered and been discharged from the hospital.
Extending the lockdown measures in the dark red areas, therefore, appears to be successful.
More than 20 million vaccinations have now been distributed in Thailand.
