The government building in Bangkok has been closed to outsiders for 14 days as of yesterday after a reporter there tested positive for the Covid19 virus.

The press was ordered to pack up at 11:30 a.m. after an antigen testing kit (ATK) showed an infection to a reporter.

The building is now being cleaned before reporters and other outsiders are allowed back, a spokesman said.

Natreeya Thaweewong, director of the spokesman’s office, asked reporters not to enter the government building and added that his office would share news of the prime minister’s mission with the press.

The government building will reopen on Sept. 27, but all members of the press should submit a negative ATK test within three days, the spokesman’s office said.
