Thepprasit Road overhaul will last 19 months

Pattaya Municipality officials met with local contractors late last week to brief them on the Thepprasit Road road construction and beautification project.

The project started a few days ago and the residents have been informed of the upcoming renovation, which will take almost two years.

The pl. city ​​manager Kaittisak Sriwongchai and Pattaya engineers inspected the start of work for the D’Luck Kaan Theater last Saturday.

The 124 million baht project, which runs until May 2023, will install new drainage pipes on both sides of Thepprasit Road over six kilometres, terminating at Sukhumvit Road. New sidewalks will be built and power and utility lines will be placed under the centre of the road.

Siripol Sriprasart, the prime contractor for Phromyotakarn Rayong (1993) Co., said Thepprasit Road will be opened in 200m stretches to minimize disruption. After the pipeline has been laid, the road section will be reopened.

The pl. Pattaya manager Kaittisak Sriwongchai and officers from the Pattaya City Engineering Office inspect the commencement construction work on Thepprasit road.

Municipal employees have already met with home and business owners along the route to inform them of the upcoming road works, disruptions and diversions and to ask for opinions and suggestions, as well as the fact that they can file complaints with the municipality, Siripol said.

The company also posted signs along the construction route to inform the public about the plans and timeline.
