Banglamung officials and Protective Services have made the rounds in Pattaya to find three hotels operating without a license.
Sophon Cable TV reported that all three hotels were offering daily rentals without the necessary credentials and paperwork to support their activities.
Banglamung officials suspect these hotels to be used by foreign criminals. They said they were unable to track tourists staying in these 3 establishments and thus fear foreigners may be using them to avoid the Thai authorities .
The sentence for this type of offence is 1 year in prison and / or 20,000 baht fine along with 10,000 baht per day.
