Today, multiple restrictions in the fight against the Covid19 virus in Chonburi province come into force

Yesterday the Chonburi provincial government issued a list of restrictions against the spread of Covid-19 that go beyond the restrictions that the government issued on Friday. They come into effect today Sunday, April 18.

The following remains closed:

• All entertainment venues such as pubs, bars, pubs and massage parlors.
• Snooker and billiards arcades, skate parks, skating facilities, bowling alleys and similar leisure activities.
• Internet cafes and Internet gambling cafes.
• Arcades and playgrounds (kindergartens, nurseries, overnight stays for seniors remain open).
• Indoor and outdoor pools, water parks, amusement parks, children’s areas in markets and shopping centers.
• Party rooms, conference rooms, ballrooms.
• Schools and summer schools.
• Events with more than 50 people are prohibited.
• Amulet shops.
• Spas, massage salons, beauty clinics, saunas and similar facilities.
• Tattoo and piercing shops.
• Gyms must close by 9pm, no group activities and classes.
• Supermarkets, mini markets and night markets are closed from 11 pm to 4 am.
• Restaurants are open until 9 pm and alcohol is not allowed. There is no prohibition on buying take-away alcohol to consume at home. Restaurants close at 11pm for take out.
• Shopping centers can remain open until 9 pm.
• Cinemas, theaters, shows and cabarets will remain closed.
• Beaches, parks and reservoirs remain open for sports. Swimming is therefore not prohibited.
• There are no restrictions or quarantines on entering or leaving the province, but people are asked to stay at home.

A total of 155 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Chonburi province on Saturday, 45 of which were linked to entertainment venues.

The total number of cases has risen to 1,065 since the Covid-19 outbreak again this month. The health department began tracking 574 people who were in contact with the infected people on Saturday. Officials also proactively tested 472 people in the communities.
