In Thailand, a 22-year-old traveler from Australia crashed to his death after falling out of an 11th-floor window at a hotel in Phuket

The body of the breathless man was found on the path below his room, lying face up. The gruesome discovery was discovered by hotel security on Monday, May 16, two hours before midnight.

The incident occurred at The Royal Paradise Resort Hotel and Spa, and the deceased was identified as Australian citizen Billy James Simmons, 22.

A police officer told reporters that no evidence of a confrontation or fight was found during the investigation, and added that the case would remain open.

Simmons was traveling with a group of friends but was alone in his room that night. An open, under-drinking bottle of Thai whiskey was found in it, and police believe the guy was drunk and crashed to his death. Local masseuse girls working at a salon near the hotel said they recognized Simmons and that he passed by them every day and was always “very drunk.”

“The initial investigation shows that the tourist had been drinking alcohol before his fall and death. We are also interviewing his friends to see if there are other causes,” police Lt. Salid said.

Simmons arrived at the hotel on Saturday; he was planning to return home later this month, on May 28. The tragedy was reported to the Australian Consulate. The father of the deceased plans to travel to Phuket and return home with his son’s body.
