It looks like Valentine’s Day is going to be big today. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has vowed to warn his subjects in love, saying Thai couples should learn “how to love without contracting a Covid-19 infection”.
As the Covid19 pandemic is not over yet, Prime Minister Prayut told couples must make adjustments to safely express their love in the new normal.
He said that sending gifts to each other and meeting over video calls is an expression of true love, as couples can protect each other from infection.
“The Prime Minister also hopes that this Valentine’s Day will bring love and unity to the people of Thailand. He wants everyone to take care of each other and help each other win this fight against Covid-19,” government spokesman Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana said on behalf of the prime minister yesterday.
