Two Thai workers have been killed in rocket bombings from Gaza in southern Israel, Israeli police said. Since its inception in the Jewish state, the death toll has been 12.
“The latest missile attack that took place in the Eshkol region killed two people,” said police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld, who identified the dead as workers from Thailand.
A week ago, a Thai citizen was injured by another rocket from Gaza and an agricultural worker from Thailand was killed in the 2004 war between Israel and Gaza.
Mrs Magen David Adom, the Israeli Red Cross equivalent, announced that seven other foreign workers were injured in the latest attack by shrapnel, one of them seriously.
They were all taken to Soroka Hospital in the southern city of Beersheba.
