It was the third time Fury faced Wilder in the ring. The first fight in 2018 ended in a draw and early last year Fury captured the world title with a seventh-round technical knockout.
About 50,000 spectators attended the fight. In the third round, Fury hit his opponent against the canvas for the first time, but moments later the Brit was also shaken. In the eleventh round, Fury hit Wilder with a hard blow that knocked the 35-year-old American out.
Fury called the match “a great fight.” “It was a worthy trilogy in the history of the sport. Deontay Wilder is a top fighter. He made me work hard for my money. But I’ve always said I’m the best boxer in the world and he’s the second-best “, thus Fury after its victory.

Surprising words, because last week the two men already had a verbal fight with each other, so that the usual staredown did not take place. Wilder accused the Briton of cheating in their previous fight. Fury, therefore, called Wilder “a weak man” and threatened to tear his legacy to shreds. To that Wilder said, “Men lie, women lie, but my eyes never lie. I know the facts. This fight is going to be retaliation.”
If it’s up to Fury, his next fight will be against compatriot Anthony Joshua. Until recently, the 31-year-old Briton was the world heavyweight champion at the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO. Last month, however, he had to give up his championship belts to Oleksandr Usyk after losing to him in London.
