A violent storm breaks a glass walkway in China, tourist dangles 100 meters above the abyss
A tourist walking across a glass bridge in China and looking 100 meters down into the depths had to quickly cling to the bridge’s rails after the severe storm blew some panels of the glass-bottom bridge away in seconds.
Reportedly, the storm had a force of 90 miles per hour, damaging the glass bridge and causing the tourist to cling to the bridge railing in the middle of the bridge. Firefighters and other emergency workers managed to get the tourist to safety.
The bridge is built in a resort on Longjing’s Piyan Mountain. The scenic walkway is popular with tourists. A photo of the tourists trapped on the damaged bridge was shared on the Chinese social media platform Weibo and other social media sites. A Twitter user responded to the photo, saying, “This is actually one of my nightmares that takes place in the real world.”
