Zion Clark was born without legs, but that didn’t stop him from becoming a top athlete. Clark is now in the Guinness World Records by running on his hands.
The world record was set by 23-year-old Clark in a sports hall in the American state of Ohio. The athlete managed to run 20 meters in less than 5 seconds, using his hands as feet. “The older I got, the stronger I got. One day I remember just standing on my hands and being like, ‘Okay, this is how I’m going to do it,'” Clark told Guinness World record.
Clark has a rare condition called Caudal Regression Syndrome and was born without legs as a result. His mother abandoned him and he was often bullied at school. Despite his negative experiences, he got good grades and struggled at a high level. “I will always work with what I have because I don’t really have any other cards that have been dealt with me… I have to play them the right way so I can be successful and win the deck,” Clark said.
