The wife of a 56-year-old man who was bitten to death by his pit bull last weekend told the assembled Thai press that she will take legal action against people who allege her husband abused the dog without any evidence.

Wisit who owned the two-year-old pit bull named “Giant” last week in his owner’s life.

Khun Wisit’s funeral is currently held in a temple in Banglamung for five days. The actual cremation will take place on April 22.

Wanpen Khumkong, the wife of Khun Wisit, has warned people who have commented online about her husband and made what she calls untrue and unverified allegations. She spoke to the press from day one of this drama and now issued this warning to the same journalists.

“These people making false claims online were not at the incident and have no inside information. They didn’t know what had happened. My husband loved the dog very much. He actually loved the dog more than he loved me. Many people close to my husband also liked both, ”said Wanpen.

“If people continue to make unverified and untrue comments, I will take legal action against them,” Wanpen warned, referring to Thailand’s extremely strict laws on defamation, libel and defamation.

If those who successfully commented were charged with computer crimes, and could face up to seven years in prison, “Snel Jelle” notes our local reporter.

He also notes that the Chonburi Pitbull Club, which picked up the dog and found another home for the dog, stated that they found no evidence of physical abuse of the animal. “Giant” has been adopted by a so-called “pit bull expert” in another province with four other pit bulls who specifically work with “problem” animals and help train them. In Thailand, for religious reasons, it is almost impossible to give an animal an injection here, even NOT in circumstances such as this incident.
