Udon Thani police are looking for a Covid19 patient who left hospital without completing her treatment.

The chief of police at Kumphawapi Police Station posted CCTV footage to Facebook showing the woman leaving Kumphawapi Hospital around 7 a.m. the same day. She was seen with a shoulder bag and a face mask.

“The 32-year-old woman was identified as Ratathini Hongwichitpreecha, a resident of Huai Kerng Canton who had been admitted as a Covid-19 patient,” the post said. “The hospital warned the authorities because she had not fully recovered”

Police added that the hospital plans to charge the patient for violating the Communicable Sickness Act, while officers have been deployed to bus and train stations to search for the escaped woman.

A source revealed that Ratathini was hospitalized on Aug. 12 after testing positive for the Covid19 virus and being placed in the yellow group, or those who show low-to-moderate symptoms but have underlying health conditions that require close monitoring. According to the source, she would have left the hospital to be with her husband who works in Samut Prakan. So far, the police have been unable to reach either of them.

People who know where they are requested to call (042) 334 464, (081) 871 5546 or (063) 904 0564.
